Helix Nebula

Nature creates its morphology even in the most remote scales. A cosmic cluster that uncannily resembles the human eye. How is that possible? The planetary nebula Helix formed from a sun-like star that shed its outer layers at the end of its life. And in the middle, there was a white dwarf that had been extinguished. In the distant future, our sun will suffer the same fate. Will it look the same?

To achieve the coarse grain of the space nebula, the paint was mixed with silica sand.

The acrylic painting 100×70 cm has a final protective spray. The canvas is stretched on a wooden frame, it is colored also on the side and has a jagged hinge. So all you have to do is hang it on a nail!
